Does Media Coverage of Violence Affect Public Trust? Evidence from Violence against Doctors in China

This is my senior thesis. I identified the effect of media coverage of violent anti-doctor incidents on individuals’ trust in doctors by a staggered Difference-in-Differences strategy and examined the dynamic effects by an event-study design. I also explored a series of potential mechanisms through heterogeneity analysis.
